Areas of interest
Sarah is an experienced educationalist, working with postgraduate and undergraduate students on our Physician Associate (PA) Programmes. Her primary role involves supporting students to learn clinical anatomy & physiology, pathophysiology, clinical skills, and development of key professional attributes.
Background
Sarah's professional background originated in adult and children's nursing. She worked as a senior staff nurse at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London, and St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington.
Sarah completed a PhD in Developmental Biology at the Institute of Child Health, University College London, researching choroid plexus development and craniosynostosis syndromes, then continuing her bioscience research by completion of a neuroscience fellowship at Brown University, USA. Sarah was a lecturer in child health and bioscience at City University London before moving to the PA programme at Reading.
Recently, Sarah developed a new role as a Physician Associate Fellow supporting newly qualified Physician Associates in primary care supported by Health Education England.
