Dr. Upeksha's research centres on harnessing digitalisation tools such as Building Information Modelling (BIM), Big Data Analytics, and Internet of Things (IoT) to gain a competitive edge in the construction industry. She also delves into organisational studies within the construction sector, particularly focusing on cultural and structural aspects. Additionally, her research explores the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in various quantity surveying domains. Dr. Upeksha's educational research encompasses investigations into the efficacy of work-based learning models and the health and well-being of the higher education sector. In her teaching, she specialises in Quantity Surveying topics, including Quantification, Costing, projects and Cost Engineering.
