Organization Implications of Robotics and Automation in Construction Supply Chain
The aim of this study is to comprehensively explore the implications of innovation within Oman’s construction industry, with a particular focus on the opportunities and challenges associated with the implementation of robotics and automation.
Background
I hold a BSc and MSc degrees in Civil Engineering Structural from Sultan Qaboos University, Sultanate of Oman. My MSc dissertation was to re-design the villa structure and evaluate the steel of the design versus the steel utilized during construction and calculated the cost of difference. I have 17 years of experience in Supply Chain, Tenders and Contracts prior to commencing my PhD. I am a Member of the Charted Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) a professional of procurement proficiency.
My research interests focus on implementing innovation and technology in Oman construction industry and testing the readiness of the industry towards automation and robotics.
