Background

I conduct tightly controlled laboratory and online experiments to address questions in the areas of personnel economics, public policy and market design. My research can be divided into two streams:

  • The first stream deals with questions relating to trust and reciprocity - when and why people trust one another and how they respond to being (dis)trusted/discriminated against in different social settings.
  • The second stream investigates cooperative behaviour in global and local public good funding dilemmas.
