Dynamic learning environment

Participate in lively discussion and collaborate on research-driven projects with a combination of lectures, tutorials, workshops and field work.  

You can also choose to study across disciplines with optional modules in relevant, associated built environment subject specialisms.


Watch Master of Architecture students undertake a field class to study architecture in the context of the real world and examine the role of architecture through a cultural, social, commercial and environmental lens.

Scholarships and funding

Students enrolling on our MArch in 2024, who hold a first-class honours degree, have the opportunity to secure a scholarship worth £1,000 for each of the two years of the course. Subject to conditions for 2024 entry.

An Alumni discount of £1,500 is also available to Reading graduates for the first year of the MArch.

A collaborative community

Our approach enables you to work on joint projects and have the opportunity to learn with staff and students within the wider School of the Built Environment.

There are also opportunities to engage with the local community in order to better understand the relationship between community and architecture.
