Top 30 for Reading in THE Global Impact Rankings 2024

A university-wide commitment to support the UN's global goals has boosted Reading by more than thirty places in the Times Higher Education (THE) Global Impact Rankings 2024.
The University of Reading is placed joint 28 in the world from 2,031 participating institutions, and is the fifth-highestuniversity among the 68 UK institutions ranked.
The rankings highlight the contribution of universities worldwide in supporting the United Nations sustainable development goals (SDGs), which address global challenges such as hunger, equality and environmental threats.
The position was achieved after Reading ranked highly across a range of sustainable development goals, including:

24 in SDG17 - Partnerships to achieve the goals

19 in SDG13 - Climate action

27 in SDG10 - Reducing inequality

Reading has continued to enter all 17 categories since first participating in the rankings in 2020, further demonstrating a commitment to engaging with all kinds of global challenges.
