Individual consultations

Work with one of our experienced Academic English lecturers on a one-to-one basis to improve your writing and presentation skills.

As an international student at the 澳门六合彩开奖记录, you can book individual Writing Consultations or Presentation Consultations to get advice and input on your academic communication in English.

These consultations allow you to ask specific questions and receive feedback on a particular piece of work from one of our highly qualified academic language specialists.

Super helpful feedback from the tutor on an assignment I was writing covering flow, grammar, logic etc. Very comprehensive.

Masters student, Henley Business School.

Today, in your tutorial it was very helpful because we focussed on subtle things I was not aware of, but I am very glad to know as this will improve my academic writing.

PhD student, Psychology

You can apply for a maximum of three 30-minute consultations per semester.

Writing consultations

Submit up to four pages of your writing to be reviewed in advance. Your Academic English lecturer will be able to answer questions and offer advice or feedback regarding task achievement, organisation, source-use and citation, and language. Please note that this is not a proofreading or correction service. Your tutor will offer advice and feedback to help you develop and improve your work.

Presentation consultations

You can practise and receive feedback on clarity of message, language accuracy, and pronunciation.

How to apply

To apply for a consultation, please complete the Academic English consultation request form

A lecturer will email you to arrange a consultation time. Please note that we may not be able to see you immediately, so try to plan ahead if you know that you will need a consultation. You should aim to request a consultation at least 5 working days before you would like to meet with a tutor.

Please note that the Consultation Service will be closed for the Christmas Vacation (Monday 23 December 2024 - Friday 17 January 2025). The service will resume at the start of the Semester 1 Assessment Period: Monday 20 January 2025.
