Summary module description:
This module provides students with general and specific placement and employability related skills.

Aims:

To develop students' placement awareness, placement advice, introductory employment and placement application readiness (CV writing, peer support, application forms, career advice).听

Students gain additional personal insight through personality tests (for career direction).听 Mentoring and feedback in the application process.


Outline content:


  • Placement application journey and RED enrolment

  • Boosting your CV

  • What Placement can I do?

  • Gaining relevant work experience Part 1

  • Gaining relevant work experience Part 2 and advice from placement returners

  • CV workshop in a computer lab

  • Preparing for Placement search and applications with advice from second year students

Sessions will be interactive and seminar styled.
