This module represents Year 2 of the BSc Applied Chemistry (3+1) and is compiled totally of courses studied in Nanjing University of Information, Science and Technology (NUIST), China. These courses are owned by NUIST and have individual course descriptions and assessments which are managed by NUIST.

Brief description of teaching and learning methods:
The above modules are delivered in NUIST China with input from the Department of Chemistry at the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼. The modules are delivered in English and Chinese.

NUIST students study the above modules plus other modules during Years 1, 2 and 3 in China. Contact hours for the above modules are equivalent to 1200 hours.

Summative assessment- Examinations:

Summative assessment- Coursework and in-class tests:
A mark will be generated for the above modules studied and assessed in NUIST using a mixture of examination and coursework. This mark is based upon the individual percentages for the courses listed above weighted according to their credit rating. The NUIST mark will be converted to a UoR mark using the algorithm in the Operational Handbook. This mark constitutes the UoR mark for Part 2 of the BSc Applied Chemistry (3+1).

Coursework submission is managed by NUIST


Assessment requirements for a pass:

Students meeting the transfer requirements are deemed to have passed.


Reassessment arrangements:
According to NUIST policy. Individual courses may be re-taken during the following semester.
