Academic quality and standards

The University monitors and reviews its degree programmes in two main ways. Boards of Studies are responsible for carrying out annual monitoring of all those programmes for which they are responsible, using a range of information, including statistical data and the views of External Examiners and students. See Guide to policies and procedures for teaching and learning. In addition, every six years, all taught programmes in a particular subject area undergo Periodic Review, which is a full-scale review of these programmes carried out by a panel which includes external subject experts.

As with all other Higher Education Institutions in the UK, the University and its degrees are subject to Institutional audit by a range of bodies and organisations, including the .
