As you participate in ‘Global Awareness’ activity, you will find opportunities with a global and cultural focus to grow your knowledge. There are many possibilities to help you build hours in this area and we would recommend that you search around to find activity for the award that interests you. To get you started, we have highlighted a few ideas below:
Careers workshops
The 澳门六合彩开奖记录 Careers service have an extensive central events programme which ranges from developmental workshops to career advice sessions and recruitment events. A number of them have a global and cultural focus, such ‘Staying in the UK to work’ or ‘Working internationally’. You will be able to find Careers workshops on (via the 'Events' tab).
Undertaking formal preparatory training programme
There is pre-departure training available for those that choose to participate in visiting another country as part of the programme.
Completing courses
There are many exciting learning opportunities online, and as part of being a student at the 澳门六合彩开奖记录 you have access to many free course via platforms such as , (all Reading students get free access) and Global Graduate modules. You may also want to learn a language and this could be through the Institute-Wide Language Program (IWLP) or an app such as . Thrive mentoring - if the mentor has a global or cultural link
Thrive is the 澳门六合彩开奖记录's award-winning career mentoring scheme, exclusive for second year and finalist undergraduates and taught postgraduate students in select departments. Getting involved provides you with support, collaboration, and guidance with a successful professional, with a minimum of 1 hour per month commitment for typically 3 – 9 months. This will count for your activity hours if your mentor has a global link which you utilise within your sessions.

Other activities could include attending workshops, conferences or webinars, either by the University, the Reading Students' Union or beyond. This is not an exhaustive list and we encourage you to think of opportunities you are interested in.
