Connecting to the Internet in Halls
Fast, free Wi-Fi is available in all university accommodation delivering access to the university services and the Internet via the Glide Home Network.
When you arrive at accommodation, you’re able to join the Glide Home Network immediately. To connect to Glide, you’ll need to scan for available Wi-Fi networks and select Glide from the list. For a wired connection, collect an ethernet cable from your local reception. Once you’ve selected the Wi-Fi or connected the cable, open a web browser and you’ll be redirected to the Glide Welcome screen. Click get started and follow the instructions. Once complete you’ll receive an email confirming your username.

Using the Glide Home Network, you’re able to connect all your devices, such as a wireless printer, any virtual assistant devices such as an Amazon Alexa and more, in your room on a personal network, just like you would at home!
