Background
My academic background is as a sociologist with a specialism in Comparative Historical Sociology and the Sociology of Knowledge. In 2008, I joined the School of Construction Management/Built Environment. My research in this area focuses on the implementation of sustainable technologies, management tools, standards and assessment tools at the project level (with some reflection on broader implications). As a sociologist, I draw on theories from Management Studies, Organization Studies and Science and Technology Studies.
