Postgraduate supervision

I am currently co-supervising a PhD project on calf welfare, involving on farm trials of enrichment to improve calf and heifer welfare.

Teaching

As a qualified veterinary surgeon, I teach on a wide variety of modules covering basic science and more applied topics – particularly animal health and welfare. I am keen to facilitate practical learning such as dissection, and approaches that improve peer to peer support such as the University Peer Assisted Learning scheme and Equine Journal Club.

Background

I qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon from St Catharine’s College, University of Cambridge. I then spent six years at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London where I completed my PhD titled “Managing UK Dairy Heifers of Optimum Health and Survival”. I worked in postdoctoral positions at both the 澳门六合彩开奖记录 and the University of Hertfordshire on sustainable beef and dairy.
